Legal Sales Mastery — Intake Cohort | Hey Visible
The Intake Cohort · For the person who answers your phone

Your marketing works. The phone rings. Then the first call decides whether that prospect ever becomes a client.

You spend thousands to make the phone ring — then hand that call to someone nobody ever trained to convert it. The Intake Cohort trains your intake coordinator to turn first contact into a booked, qualified, ready-to-sign consultation. Eight weeks, live, led by a former attorney who built the intake system inside her own three-location firm.

The most expensive gap in your firm

You measured cost-per-lead. You never measured the ninety seconds after the phone is picked up.

Your intake coordinator is the first human a prospect in crisis talks to. They set the tone, the trust, and whether that prospect books or keeps dialing. And almost no firm has ever trained them to do it — they were handed a phone and a form.

01 · The freeze
"How much do you charge?"

The first hard question comes in the first minute — and an untrained coordinator either blurts the number or dodges it. Either way, the prospect hears uncertainty and keeps calling other firms.

02 · The message taker
"Let me have the attorney call you back."

A booked, warm consultation becomes a voicemail and a maybe. The prospect in crisis wanted reassurance now. They got a callback slip.

03 · The no-show
"They booked — and never showed."

Nobody confirmed, nobody warmed them up, nobody followed the "not yet." The consultation you paid to book quietly evaporates.

That's not an intake problem. It's a training gap — and it's costing you signed clients you already paid to reach.

Why a cohort for intake

The phone is a performance. You don't fix a performance by reading a PDF.

Your coordinator gets better the same way anyone does with a script — by saying it out loud, getting corrected, and doing it again. A cohort gives them live reps, a room of peers doing the same job, and eight weeks of accountability that a one-page phone script never will.

Live phone reps

They role-play the price question, the crisis caller, the "just calling around" — out loud, in the room, before it's a real prospect on the line.

A room of people who do their job

Intake coordinators rarely get trained together. Here they learn from each other's calls — and stop feeling like the only one winging it.

It sticks because it's practiced

Eight weeks of real calls between sessions, brought back and debriefed. The new habits are built in, not handed over.

The eight-week arc

From message taker to the reason prospects book.

Same rebuilt-consultation logic as the attorney cohort — recalibrated for the first call and the front desk. Each week takes real calls from that week and rebuilds them, live.

Week 1 — Foundation & the first impression

Why the first call decides the retainer. The Trust Equation applied to intake. Where your calls are leaking right now.

Week 2 — Trust on the phone

The Authoritative Arc — the vocal-confidence pattern that makes a stranger in crisis feel steady and in good hands within seconds.

Week 3 — Qualifying without interrogating

DEEP Discovery for intake. Questions that surface the real matter and screen out tire-kickers — without sounding like a form.

Week 4 — Present the firm, not the calendar

Position the attorney and the value before booking, so the prospect shows up warm and ready — not shopping.

Week 5 — The price question

"How much do you charge?" answered with calm and confidence. Framing fees and payment without flinching or over-promising.

Week 6 — Early objections

The RESOLVE framework on the front line — "I'm just calling around," "I need to talk to my spouse," "Can someone call me back?"

Week 7 — The booked, qualified handoff

The clean handoff that starts the attorney's consultation on third base — and the confirmation that stops the no-show.

Week 8 — Recovery & fluency

Follow-up that pulls back the ones who booked and ghosted. For virtual intake, the VISIBLE Body Language framework for the camera. A final live review.

Real calls, real reps

They apply each week's work on the actual calls coming in. Not practice scenarios. Your phone.

Bring one to the room

An anonymized call or a hard moment from the week. We diagnose it together and rebuild the response.

Cohort channel access

A private channel with Pam and peers between sessions — the place to ask "what do I say when…" in real time.

Eight weeks later

What changes on the phone.

Before

  • Answers the phone, takes a message, books whoever asks

After

  • Runs the first call with structure and calm authority
  • Handles the price question without flinching
  • Books qualified, ready prospects — and screens out the rest
  • Turns first contact into a prospect who's already leaning yes

Who's leading it

A former attorney who built the intake system, not a phone trainer reading a script.

I'm Pam Foley — former practicing attorney, founder of a three-location family law firm, and author of The Ultimate Guide to Legal Services Sales. I built and ran the intake that fed three offices. I know exactly what a first call has to do, because I designed the one that did it — and trained the people who answered it.

Your intake coordinator doesn't need generic phone skills. They need to understand how someone decides to hire a lawyer — and how to earn that decision in the first ninety seconds. That's what I teach.

Before you enroll

The questions firms ask.

Is this for my coordinator, or for me?

It's for the person who answers your phone — the intake coordinator or specialist. You enroll them; they attend the eight live sessions and do the reps. If you're the attorney running the consultations yourself, the Attorney Cohort is the one for you.

We already have a phone script. Why isn't that enough?

A script tells someone what to say. It doesn't teach them why it works, how to say it when a real person in crisis is on the line, or what to do when the call goes off-script. This cohort builds the judgment behind the words — through live reps, not a laminated card by the phone.

Why $3,500?

It's one seat for one coordinator, for eight weeks of live training built specifically for legal intake. Set it against a single signed retainer you're currently losing on the first call, and it pays for itself fast. Payment plans are available.

Can I send more than one person?

Yes — each seat is per person, and seats are capped at six for the room to work. If you want to send two, enroll two seats. We'll confirm availability on the fit call.

Why does it start later than the attorney cohort?

The cohorts run staggered — never at the same time — so each room gets full attention. The attorney cohort runs first in October; the intake cohort starts January 2027. We'll confirm the exact date on your fit call.

What happens when I apply?

A short 30-minute fit call. I ask how your intake works today and where first calls are slipping. You leave knowing exactly what's costing you booked, qualified consultations — and an honest yes or no on the cohort. No pitch, no pressure.
